A late start

Took my time in the morning, did not want to start all stressed up, så got away one hour later than planned. Temperature already hot, but it’s just to deal with it.

The very first stretch to Uppsala was nice with a little tailwind for starters, but that was about to change when turning to southwest and right into the wind. With gusts up to 17 m/s and the open landscape I got drained pretty fast and the warmth really got to me, forcing me to take longer breaks to cool down where I could find some shadow.

Made a stop to check out Anunds Hög, a historical site with viking ship stone settings and a viking grave mound.

Desperatly needed to wash of the sweat from the day I found a batch in Strömsholm where I could cool of and wash the cykling kit. Now it’s just the small matter of getting it to dry. Hopefully I can strap it to the bags somehow for tomorrows ride. Because the night is quite damp.

Set camp for the night at a windshield I found with the help of the Naturkartan app and has company by a couple of nice kajakers here.
