The day started off great with discussions over breakfast with my camp company - two kayakers paddling the channels and streams in the area.

Cooler temperatures was making things a little more endurable even though the wind still was taking it’s toll on the legs. A mean constant headwind peppered with unforgiving gusts that made me came to a stop again and again riding over the open landscapes in the area.

Struggled to find a suitable patch to pith my tent. Visited a number of locations but each turned out to be a bust. Finally I settled for a so-so location and could get some low quality sleep. I hope that this was the low point regaring setting camp for this trip.
